Kuehne+Nagel strengthens global air logistics network with new Bengaluru gateway

Kuehne+Nagel India

  • Greater support for India’s growth industries: high-tech, healthcare and automotive
  • Direct access from Bengaluru to major intercontinental trade lanes
  • Improved efficiency with digital integration and specialised handling capabilities

Kuehne+Nagel has launched a new air logistics gateway in Bengaluru, India, underscoring its commitment to adapt quickly to shifting market conditions and evolving customer requirements while expanding its global network.

The gateway handles consolidation and deconsolidation of cargo, streamlines customs processes, and provides temperature-controlled handling to ensure reliability and efficiency. Integrated with Kuehne+Nagel’s digital platforms, including the customer booking tool myKN, it also offers real-time visibility and seamless customer experience.

Bengaluru was selected for its strong connections to major regional and international hubs such as Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Dubai and Chicago, its role as a centre for technology and trade, and its increasing relevance in cross-border logistics. The location strengthens Kuehne+Nagel’s ability to improve load efficiency, lower costs, enhance routing flexibility and manage capacity across commercial and charter networks, while remaining close to customers in one of India’s fastest-growing regions.

With direct access to trade lanes spanning Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and North America, the Bengaluru gateway will also serve high-growth sectors such as high-tech and semicon, healthcare, automotive and new mobility.

Yngve Ruud, Executive Vice President, Air Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel Group, says: “With the opening of the Bengaluru gateway, we are giving customers greater connectivity, efficiency, and resilience as part of our global Air Logistics strategy. Together with our recently inaugurated gateways in Milan, Madrid and Toronto, this development strengthens our network to better serve time-critical and high-growth industries. India’s rapid development makes it a key market, and this investment reflects both our commitment to its industries and our ambition to expand Kuehne+Nagel’s global footprint.”
