The past week saw strong loosening in the Atlanta market, with outbound tender rejection rates falling 101 basis points. Compared to last year, Atlanta remains in a better position, being 144 basis points higher year-over-year.
Outbound tender volumes appear to be the cause of the loosening of truckload capacity. Atlanta outbound tender volumes are down 3.76% week-over-week and down 5.34% compared to last month.
Despite the decline, Atlanta is the second-largest market in both inbound and outbound volumes out of 135 key market areas. The market currently skews slightly higher in inbound volumes than in outbound volumes.
