SONAR Key Market Insights – Las Vegas
|
Heading into the new year, Las Vegas sees a significant spike in outbound tender rejections. This isn’t uncommon for the end of the year as carriers look to pull drivers off the road before midnight.
The 11.33% week-over-week increase would normally be a cause for concern, however, this aggressive spike happens every year in Vegas.
Outbound tender volumes are down 20.46% w/w as most of the shippers look to take advantage of a long weekend and start fresh next week.

“For those reasons, autonomy on highways only doesn’t really scale. It has room in the ecosystem — 5% to 10% or 15% of the future network will be hub-to-hub. But the vast majority of freight will be moved door-to-door, facility-to-facility, end-to-end. That’s how the supply chain is built today. This is how the supply chain is going to be built in the future as well. So I think for us this is a major unlock. I would say it’s very clear — the unspoken truth in the industry.”
