Savannah braces for Winter Storm Fern’s arrival
|
SONAR Key Market Insights – Savannah, Georgia
|
Outbound tender rejections in Savannah, Georgia, remain on an upward trajectory despite levels being down 1.11% week over week.
Lending itself to a slight capacity crunch is the falling outbound tender volumes which are down 5.52% w/w. Spot rates in Savannah are on the rise and will remain elevated through the first half of the week.
The increase in outbound tender rejections and decrease in volumes is a result of the impending winter storm as carriers look to pull carriers out of dangerous winter weather and shippers slow production down to prepare for a few days of being shut down as the region cleans up from being pummeled with ice and snow.
