Breaking news: FedEx One Rate introduces extra small box pricing 

Effective February 2, 2026, FedEx One Rate pricing includes a new FedEx Extra Small Box.

The Extra Small Box measures 7.25” x 4.6875” x 2.5”, with a FedEx 2Day list rate of $12.50. 

This new tier is positioned between the Envelope and Small Box options, creating a valuable middle ground for shipments that previously did not fit cleanly into either category.

For shippers, this update presents an opportunity to rethink your packaging strategy. SKUs that were previously forced into larger boxes due to dimensional constraints may now qualify for a lower One Rate tier, potentially driving meaningful cost savings.
