The Chicago outbound tender rejection rate rose alongside the national tender rejection rate during the holiday period and now, at 13.1%, exceeds the national rate by 211 basis points.
Compared to last year’s holiday period, the current Chicago outbound tender rejection rate is 429 basis points higher year over year.
Consistent with that rise, nearly one-third of Chicago outbound lanes are showing changes in spot rates that are rising faster than the national average.
The Seasonality Adjusted Moving Average suggests that the January tender rejection rate, after the holiday period, for outbound Chicago loads will range from 6.2% to 7.5%.
