Allentown increases at its own pace
|
SONAR Key Market Insights – Allentown, Pennsylvania
|
Allentown, Pennsylvania, is following the rest of the markets in the U.S. with increasing capacity constraints. Rejections are up 1.13% week over week for 12.38 % rejections.
Outbound tender volumes for the market are down 7.28% w/w which is the primary factor for increasing spot rates as there is less demand and increasing rejections.
Allentown is still below the national average for rejections but with significant increases w/w it does create more volatility in the spot market. Larger markets feel more pressure when there are large changes in rejections compared to smaller markets.

“Based on its analysis to date, the Company estimates the correction of the error will increase purchased transportation and warehousing costs for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, but cannot yet estimate what the resulting increase to purchased transportation and warehousing costs and accounts payable will be.”
