Truckload demand has risen 8.36% on a weekly basis in the port market of Elizabeth, NJ.
Despite this uptick in volume, rejection rates have barely budged, up 44 basis points (bps) from last week. At only 4.11%, 200 bps below the national average, Elizabeth’s rejection rates indicate that capacity in the region is still quite loose.
Though the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach reign supreme for now, market share is shifting towards the East Coast, with the Port of New York/New Jersey set to benefit from this change.
