Carrier Update: Hurricane Isaias
Below is an update specific to Southeastern Freight Lines (SEFL) on Hurricane Isaias. We expect other carriers servicing these areas to follow suit.
| Event | Hurricane Isaias |
| Affected SEFL service centers | Dothan, AL; Mobile, AL; Pensacola, FL |
| Expected impact | Expected to be closed, with no linehaul running into these locations on Friday, October 9, 2026 |
| Recovery plan | Additional manpower deployed over the weekend, with the goal of bringing these service centers current very early next week |
What You May Experience
- No pickups or deliveries at the affected service centers while they are closed.
- Transit delays for SEFL shipments moving into or through Dothan, Mobile and Pensacola.
At the time of this update, SEFL’s linehaul plan for Thursday evening was still being finalized, so details may change.
What We Recommend
- Move what you can before the storm. Where possible, ship ahead of the event on dedicated equipment. Contact SAN for FTL, partial and expedited rates.
- Hold freight headed into the storm area. Avoid sending freight into the affected areas while the storm is approaching or underway, unless it is moving on dedicated equipment.
- Consolidate freight bound for these locations. If you have shipments going to these areas, consolidate the volume and contact SAN for options.
- Plan for a recovery period. Delays after a weather event can linger for weeks, so freight in transit when the storm hits may take longer than normal to deliver. Contact your SAN account team for status on any shipments already in transit.
Once the storm passes, SAN can provide a range of options to help get your freight moving again, including consolidation.

SAN will post additional carrier updates as we receive them at our LTL Industry Updates page.
