The Freight Classification Development Council (FCDC) has published freight classification changes, effective December 6th, affecting freight shipped with OAKH starting December 8th. Some of these changes are a major overhaul of freight classes, as many commodities are moving to a full-scale density model. Please take a few moments to review the disposition dockets to see how it may affect the commodities you ship.
These updates are issued by the FCDC, not Oak Harbor Freight Lines, to maintain freight classification provisions of the NMFC. We’re navigating these changes alongside you as we all learn to adapt to the new standards.
If you have specific questions concerning your products and freight classifications, please contact your OAKH Account Manager.
