South Carolina Ports and the Army Corps of Engineers signed a feasibility study to deepen the North Charleston Terminal from 48 to 52 feet, which would let all of Charleston’s terminals handle the world’s largest boxships — including MSC’s 24,364-TEU Irina class — at any tide.
