Hi SAN Clients,

Service Advisory Update: Oak Harbor Freight Lines – Phoenix, AZ Market Embargo Lifted

This is a follow-up to our August 19 advisory regarding the Oak Harbor Freight Lines embargo on freight destined to the Phoenix, Arizona market. Oak Harbor has confirmed that the embargo is lifted effective immediately, and normal shipping activity into Phoenix and the surrounding Arizona markets can resume.

What the Carrier Has Communicated

Oak Harbor has advised that its Arizona operations have worked through the freight backlog and can support normal service levels, ahead of the carrier’s original estimate. The carrier credited the additional drivers, management, and support staff it deployed into Arizona, along with customer flexibility during the recovery period. Oak Harbor is updating its points files with SMC3 and adjusting its API filtering to restore Arizona availability.

What SAN Is Doing

We have removed the Phoenix lane restrictions in our platform and reactivated Oak Harbor as a routing option for the Arizona market. We are monitoring carrier service performance through the transition back to normal operations and remain in contact with Oak Harbor.

What This Means for Your Shipments

  • Oak Harbor is again accepting new freight destined to the Phoenix, AZ market. No action is needed on your end.
  • ONESOURCE will again return Oak Harbor as a rate and routing option on Arizona-destined lanes alongside the rest of your carrier program.
  • Availability may normalize over a short window as Oak Harbor completes its SMC3 and API updates. If an Arizona-destined shipment does not return the expected Oak Harbor option, contact us and we will review it.
  • Freight tendered during the embargo period has been processed, and Arizona transit times should return to normal as the carrier’s network stabilizes.
  • If your team applied internal routing limitations on Oak Harbor for Arizona freight, those limitations can be reverted.

Questions or Need Help Routing?

If you have shipments that were affected during the embargo period, upcoming loads you would like to discuss, or would like help reviewing carrier options on a specific lane, please reach out to your SAN representative or log in to ONESOURCE to view available options.

We appreciate your patience while this was resolved.
