CFIA Updates Import Requirements for U.S. Romaine Lettuce

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will implement updated import requirements for certain U.S. romaine lettuce products from September 24 to December 17, 2026. Depending on the product’s origin, importers must provide specific certification and/or proof of the product’s origin. Learn more.

White House Announces New Section 301 Tariffs on Imports from 60 Economies

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has imposed new Section 301 tariffs of 10% – 12.5% on most imports from 60 economies, effective July 24, 2026. The measures target countries based on their adoption and enforcement of forced labor import prohibitions, while USMCA-compliant goods from Canada and Mexico remain exempt. See more details.

White House Imposes Section 338 Tariffs on Certain Canadian Imports

The White House has announced a new 50% tariff on certain Canadian-origin products under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, effective August 19, 2026. The measure applies to a broad range of goods and is in addition to existing duties. Learn more.
