Government Passes Legislation to Include UK in the CPTPP

Bill C-13 was passed on May 6, 2026, putting the United Kingdom’s accession to The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership into Canadian Law. It amends several Acts and updates the Customs Tariff to reflect the Comprehensive and Progressive United Kingdom Tariff, aligning Canada’s laws with the agreement’s requirements. Learn more.

Government Passes Legislation to Implement Canada-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement



On May 6, 2026, Bill C-18 was passed to implement the Canada-Indonesia trade agreement. It sets out a clear framework to promote economic growth amongst other positive developments while amending the Customs Tariff to incorporate the Indonesia Tariff (IDT) and related changes. Find out more.

IEEPA Duty Refund Information and Resources

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website provides resources related to the Information Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) duty refunds. The CBP encourages the public to use the website to monitor all updates. Learn more.

CPSC: Electronic Filing of Certificate Data

Beginning July 8, 2026, U.S. imports of Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulated products will require electronic certificate data submission(s) at the time of entry. Importers must still provide the necessary certificate information to their customs broker but now have tools to help support compliance. See more.
