CBSA Trade Compliance Verification: July 2026

Tribunal Finds Injury in China Truck Body Case

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has found that the dumping of certain truck bodies from China has injured the domestic industry. The reasons for these findings will be released today and anti-dumping duties must now be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency. Learn more.

Trade Update: UK Officially Joins CPTPP

After Royal Assent, goods originating in the United Kingdom may receive preferential tariff treatment under the CPTPP. Starting September 1, 2026, qualifying UK goods may also be imported under CPTPP tariff rate quotas (TRQs), with additional quota administration details available through Global Affairs Canada. Exemptions for Auto and Aerospace Inputs Extended Under Steel Derivative Goods Surtax Order



Finance Canada has extended the exemption for eligible auto and aerospace steel derivative goods under the Steel Derivative Goods Surtax Order to June 30, 2027. The applicable authorization codes should be included on the respective customs documents. Find out more

CIT Orders Reliquidation Ahead of CAPE Phase 3

The CIT has ordered CBP to reliquidate certain previously liquidated entries as part of CAPE Phase 3 implementation. The new functionality will support a streamlined refund process, with importers required to obtain a CIT order and submit refund requests through CAPE. Find out more.
