Aloha,
Due to the impact caused by Hurricane Lowell, several of the port and barge operations have been impacted or delayed. Although some operating information is being updated, others remain hour-to-hour to identify when port receiving, and arrival information will be available. Please work with our operations & sales departments for specific updates and shipment information.
Oahu:
Oahu arrivals and delivery of goods from the Labor Day weekend for delivery on island will take place as initially planned. Some delays will be experienced due to weather conditions and the Holiday observance on Monday. The Wednesday vessel arrivals look to be on schedule at this time.
Kauai:
Significant delays are expected. Kauai Power Cooperative report as many as 92% of the island’s residents are without power as of Tuesday morning 9/8/2026. Downed trees & power lines, along with road closures and winds in excess of 85 mph continue to impact operations on island. Government offices, schools and most businesses remain closed at the direction of the County of Kauai. Weekend barge sailing by YB is intended to sail this afternoon, but that has not yet been confirmed at the time of this message.
Maui:
Barge service to the island sailed on Monday 9/7 and arrived this morning on Maui. Similar to Oahu, weather and holiday observance related delays are anticipated for Maui deliveries this week. The Friday barge arrival is anticipated to arrive on time Friday morning.
Hawaii:
Kawaihae departure was Monday 9/7, yet arrival has been delayed due to high seas. Barge arrivals are not anticipated until Wednesday morning 9/9 as weather permits. Further updates to be provided.
Lanai:
Significant damages were sustained at Kaumalapau (Lanai shipping port). The US Coast Guard have currently suspended cargo arrivals and product will be held on Oahu for the time being.
