Please be advised that the tariff rate quotas (TRQs) for steel goods administered under the Amended Surtax Order will transition to the second quarter of the second year on September 30, 2026.
As set out in the Notice to importers: Item 82 – Steel goods – Serial No. 1163, shipment-specific import permit applications may be submitted up to 15 days in advance of the expected date of entry. Accordingly, the first permit applications covering goods with an entry date of September 30, 2026, may be submitted beginning September 15, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (Eastern Time).
The product scope and quota volumes for the second quarter of year 2 remain unchanged from those of the first quarter of year 2 and continue to reflect the list of goods under column 4 and the levels set out in column 2 of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Amended Surtax Order.
Importers are encouraged to ensure that permit applications are submitted in accordance with the procedures outlined in Notice to importers No. 1163.
