As part of President Trump’s strategy to establish balanced trade, the U.S. will impose a 15% tariff on goods from the EU, including autos and auto parts, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors. This tariff is paid by the US importer at the time of entry. The sectoral tariffs on steel, aluminum, and copper will remain unchanged, meaning the EU for now will continue to pay 50%.
