The storm has moved East, leaving significant snow and ice across large portions of the country. Some areas are reporting more than 12 inches of snowfall, while the South has experienced widespread ice accumulation.
A statewide commercial motor vehicle (CMV) ban is currently in effect in Pennsylvania for all major highways and turnpikes, beginning at midnight and lasting 24 hours. New Jersey has implemented limited travel restrictions. Heavy snow is impacting areas north of I-40 from Missouri to New Jersey, while heavy ice conditions persist south of I-40. Tennessee has been particularly impacted.
States that have declared a state of emergency and implemented travel restrictions include: TX, AR, OK, LA, MS, MO, TN, GA, NC, IL, IN, OH, KY, WV, VA, MD, PA, NJ, and NY.
