Meet the 2026 Transport Topics’ Trucking’s Frontline Heroes

This week, Transport Topics proudly presented the 2026 Trucking’s Frontline Heroes award to James Brown of Melton Truck Lines and, from Camelback Moving, Robert Hernandez, Ralph Vollmert, Christopher Dixon, Kevin Place, Kevin Kimes, Gerardo Galacia, Kobe Brown and Michael Macallum. Discover their stories below.

In pounding rain about 20 miles north of Little Rock, Ark., James Brown was driving a fully loaded truck for Melton Truck Lines when he noticed another driver in trouble. Brown couldn’t see 30 or 40 feet in front of his truck, but he saw another truck drive past and then roll onto its side. Once Brown safely pulled over, he ran to the driver to check on him.

Kehlani Rogers was reported missing from her Avondale, Ariz., home the evening of Feb. 20. Two days later, while stopped at a convenience store, a couple of movers overheard a security guard talking to the police on the phone. The security guard told them that he suspected the kidnapped child had just been taken into the store bathroom by a woman.
