Polaris Transportation Group Launches
First-Ever Community Impact Day!
Mississauga, ON – September 25, 2026 – Polaris Transportation Group brought its WE CARE philosophy to life this week with the launch of its inaugural Community Impact Day, bringing Polaris team members together to support food banks and community organizations across Ontario and Quebec.
As part of the first-ever Community Impact Day, Polaris team members travelled to 10 communities: Toronto, Barrie, Orillia, Oshawa, Peterborough, Kitchener, Guelph, Hamilton, Ottawa and Montreal, to shop for and personally deliver over 5,000 pounds of essential food items to 11 food banks and community organizations. The deliveries supported Food4Kids Waterloo Region, Guelph Student Food Bank, Guelph Food Bank, Hamilton Dream Centre, Salvation Army Orillia, Barrie Food Bank, Durham Outlook for the Needy, Good Neighbour Food Share, Parkdale Community Food Bank, On Rock Food Bank and Ottawa Food Bank.
The initiative brought Polaris team members out on the road and into the communities where they live and work to support organizations addressing food insecurity.
“Community Impact Day represents the next chapter of our commitment to giving back,” said Dave Cox, CEO of Polaris Transportation Group. “Every day, we help move goods across North America but our greatest purpose is helping people. Seeing our team come together, get out on the road and personally deliver food to organizations in our communities was incredibly meaningful. I am proud of everyone who contributed their time and energy to make this day possible.”
Community Impact Day builds on the success of Polaris’ Community Care Unit (CCU), launched in 2023 with a simple goal: to help our community and support people experiencing food insecurity. Since its launch, the CCU has visited more than 35 food banks and nonprofit organizations, transporting and donating more than 60,000 pounds of food and essential goods throughout Ontario and the United States.
The CCU has developed ongoing NGO partnerships, providing transportation, donations and volunteer support to help nonprofit organizations deliver essential food and supplies to the people and families they serve.
“The CCU started with a simple idea: to help our community,” said Brenda Brajkovich, Director of Marketing and CCU Program Director, Polaris Transportation Group. “To see that idea grow into Community Impact Day, with our team coming together across multiple communities to shop for and deliver food, has been incredibly meaningful. I’m grateful to be part of something that allows us to make a difference, one family and one community at a time.”
The company extends its appreciation to the Polaris team members who participated in Community Impact Day, as well as the food banks, nonprofit organizations and community partners who welcomed the teams and continue to work alongside the CCU throughout the year.
