All imports of semi-finished copper products and intensive copper derivative products shall be subject to a 50% tariff, effective August 1, 2025. For copper derivative articles, only the copper content of the good will be subject to 50% tariff, while the non-copper value of the goods will be subject to the most favored nation (MFN) rate, as well duties under IEEPA reciprocal and IEEPA fentanyl.
US Customs has released the CSMS message providing a list of HTS codes that apply to copper and copper derivative articles.
