Highlights

Outbound tender rejections are uncharacteristically high for this time of the year. An OTRI of 10.15% 3.31% higher than last year and 5% higher than 2023.

Capacity remains consistent as the OTRI stays between 10%-12% through July and August, but sees some tightening as outbound tender volumes rise 7% week over week.

Spot market rates should see a slight increase in rates as the OTVI falls and OTRI rises. At the very least, shippers will see some falling contract carrier compliance as demand disappears from the market.
